Bank of the Year
Fincentrum is the creator and proud organizer of the prestigious Fincentrum Bank of the Year international award.
In November 2002, Fincentrum Media organized, under the auspices of the Minister of Finance, the first year of the Bank of the Year national award for banks and banking products.
Since the inception of the award, MasterCard Europe has been the general partner of the award. In 2006, the first year of the Hungarian Bank of the Year -- MasterCard Az év bankja 2006 -- took place in Budapest. Success in Kiev followed the next year, namely with the Ukranian MasterCard Bank of the Year / Bank goda 2007. The year 2009 was an important milestone in the history of the entire award, as the general partnership was moved under the wings of Fincentrum ČR. Already the ninth year of this important award took place in 2010 with the support of partners. The gala prize presentation was broadcast on ČT 24.
The success of the Fincentrum Bank of the Year project is also demonstrated by the intensive use of the awards won by the winning banks. All of them have become popular symbols of quality in Czech banking. Last year, the main prize of the professional judging panel was won by Česká spořitelna, which also defended its Most Trustworthy Bank of the Year title once again. The 2010 Banker of the Year was Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive of GE Money Bank Peter Herbert.
The prestigious Fincentrum Bank of the Year award will also be held in Slovakia in 2011.
