Fincentrum Media has been organizing and announcing the Employer of the Year award already since 2003.

In May 2003, in the name of employment policy, Fincentrum Media -- under the auspices of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs -- announced the first year of the Employer of the Year national award for company human resources policies.

Emphasis on the specialization of this award and strong media support meant that the Employer of the Year award earned a good reputation already during its first year. In 2004, thanks to the successes achieved at the national level, Fincentrum Media decided to expand the competition with regional rounds. In 2011, already the ninth year of the national round of the Employer of the Year award was announced. The general partner of this award is SodexoPass ČR.
